A striking figurative print by well known Oregon sculptor, James Lee Hansen. Dating from 1949, this would put this work from the time period he was attending the Portland Art Museum School. A now defunct but historically famous institution here in Oregon for artists. Due to to the nature of framing it, the ‘49 was cut off. Including it would have made it feel clunky and weird.
