An amazing block print by Oregon artist Demetrios Jameson (1919-1996). Demetrios was an art instructor at Oregon State University from 1950 until his retirement in 1982. Demetrios was part of probably one of the best printmaking programs in Oregon under the leadership of Gordon Gilkey who was the head of the OSU art department from 1945-1963. He was amongst fellow artists and printmakers John Rock, Robert Huck, Nelson Sandgren and of course Gordon Gilkey.
Minor wear and some paper wrinkling from age. Newly matted and set into a vintage 1950’s frame.
